Elsa Mendoza demands much of herself

In keeping with the company's emphasis on planning, Division Manager Elsa Mendoza is planning her next promotion to the assistant district level.

Elsa is a dedicated person, demanding a lot of herself and putting a lot of effort into making her career successful. "Nothing ever happens in her division by chance," says National Mgr. Hector Ramirez. "Everything is carefully planned and is carried out as planned."

Hector continues: "Her plans for this year are very definite. She is preparing two people for promotions to their own divisions and she will satisfy all the company's requirements in order to become a very good district manager."

Elsa found the opportunity 12 years ago, when she was widowed with a small son to support. As is typical with people successful in this business, Elsa was at first unprepared to be a salesperson.

"She had never worked in sales," says Hector, "and found it was a very different type of work from her profession of accounting.

According to her manager, one of the things which motivated Elsa was "all the trophies she saw other people win in her district. She thought perhaps someday she could win one of them. Today, her office is full of the plaques and trophies she has won."

In her fellow dealers and managers, Elsa found encouragement and human warmth. Little by little, she acquired experience and developed the self-confidence to become an excellent dealer. "She realized the opportunity for a career and started to plan for her first promotion," says Hector.

Elsa was promoted to supervisor two years later, and stepped up to field trainer in the next six months. Elsa looked to her early promotions with clear vision and an honest desire to learn as much as possible about this business and the company's products. Hector says she gave him and all her managers the utmost in cooperation.

Along the way, Elsa acquired a number of personal achievements. She is a Master Dealer with 17 Ace Dealer memberships. She holds six Climber Club memberships. Her Hall of Fame lifetime production as a salesperson totals US$760,659.19.

In addition to winning four memberships in the international meeting, Elsa has also won numerous trips to such exotic places as Bermuda, Athens, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Cuba, Santo Domingo, and Los Angeles.

Her career really got moving five years ago, when Elsa earned her promotion to field manager and opened her Goal division. "Elsa's goal was to reach all possible promotion firmly and securely," states Hector.

"Now she demands the same from her people who seek a sales and recruiting career," says Hector," "because she believes what matters for a promotion is not length of time but to achieve it well—so there are no problems later on."

Elsa climbed the ladder of opportunity to division manager two years ago. Since becoming a manager, she has earned 36 Division Managers Club memberships, upgrading her club ring's diamond twice in the past two years.

Her current lifetime Hall of Fame production as a manager stands at US$6,079,335.08, ranking her in the top one-third of the club's members.

Elsa's greatest satisfaction is to have become a first-rate division manager. "This has made it possible for her son to attend one of the best universities in the country, where he is a very good student, majoring in chemical engineering," says Hector.

"She has done an exemplary job, not only because of her high production, but because she does quality business and is careful about maintaining her shipping percentages." Hector expresses great admiration for Elsa's consistent ability and her honesty.

"I am sure she will reach all her goals, thanks to her personal discipline, her faith, and her perseverance. All her dreams will become reality," says Hector.

Keep up the excellent work, Elsa, and congratulations, as you set an excellent example for everyone to emulate. "Say YES to Success" as you make your career even more outstanding.
