Hannah

After Hannah graduated from high school she started working full-time at the day care. She plans to attend the Art Institute of Seattle in the fall, majoring in photography. She attended community college, studying photography, psychology, and French. She wants to be a—you guessed it—professional travel photographer.

Hannah plays in the church bell choir and contributes to—photographs, HTML code, and prayer requests for a variety of spiritual websites. She's also taken acting classes, but doesn't seem interested in getting into commercials. She bakes cookies and believes her always-busy social life has improved.

Hannah's extremely intuitive and solves problems without knowingly walking the steps. Several teachers warned us she would have to learn the processes to succeed, but she gets the answers without effort—and they are invariably correct. She works very hard, when she works, and she plays just as hard.

Hannah's favorite film is the Disney/Bruckheimer Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (a passion which I share). We've spent hours discussing the actors, director, composers, soundtrack, shot list, set design, continuity, and many other aspects of the filmmaking.

She went to Disneyland with her scout troop and paid for it herself. She searched for every Disney-related web site in existence and "downloaded" so much information we thought she'd explode. She hit Half-Price Books to read a dozen books her research floated up, so by the time she came back, she was the queen of Disney-ana.

In addition to school, Hannah enjoys physical activities. She swims well and rides bicycle—and is trying to teach me how to in-line-skate. But she loves the freedom a driver's license gives her (like attending midnight screenings of popular movies with her group).
