CRYING (The Shopping Mall Song)

Hey there, sweet Lorraine.
You're standing all alone in pain.
Pretty cheeks all streaked with tears,
Waiting till your love appears.

Now then, pretty friend,
Please don't cry, it's not the end.
Just stay in place until you're found.
Let's see a smile, not a frown.

I like that dress you wear.
How long have you been standing there?
Your sweater's nice, it's blue
And soft, it's just like you.

Please, Lorraine, find cheer.
Soon your friend will find you here.
Then you'll walk off, hand in hand.
Happy, sweet Lorraine and friend.

Now now, sweet Lorraine.
You're standing all alone in pain
Because you're lost and scared and cold.
After all, you're five years old.

Someone put a "Hello I'm Lorraine" sticker on her sweater. I found her on a bench, all cried out. She let me sit beside her until an older sister spotted us and retrieved her with a hug. Nowadays, there's an invitation for disaster, but then it was an inspirational moment.
